On 3 April 2019, the human rights commission of Malaysia, Suhakam, published its conclusion that Pastor Raymond Koh was abducted and ‘disappeared’ by the Special Branch of the police on 13 February 2017.
Suhakam drew that conclusion after conducting a thorough investigation, with the participation of many parties including the police.
In this video dated 7 February 2021, Jerald Gomez, lawyer for the Koh family, explains why Suhakam’s conclusion is important and reliable. He speaks of the family’s meeting with the then-Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin (now Prime Minister) and tells why the family has filed a case in the High Court. He includes some details of the filing.
