State assembly members from both sides of the political divide have voiced their opposition to the Selangor government’s proposal to degazette most of the Kuala Langat (North) forest reserve for a mixed development project, Malaysiakini reports.

At a town hall meeting in Pulau Carey on 29 Septemeber, Bukit Lanjan representative Elizabeth Wong of PKR, Sijangkang representative Ahmad Yunus Hairi of Pas, and Banting representative Lau Weng San of DAP were among the many who stood up to air their views.
