Despite calls from civil society groups to put in place a law to regulate political funding to mitigate corruption risks and enhance transparency – as well as it being included in Pakatan Harapan’s 2020 general election manifesto, a bill to this effect remains elusive.

Bersih chair Faisal Aziz explains why this piece of legislation is important and should no longer be stalled.
