There are over 400 primary and secondary mission schools throughout Malaysia, founded and managed by the teaching orders of various Christian churches.
And it all began in 1852, when the De La Salle brothers and the Infant Jesus sisters first set foot on Malayan soil.
BFM talks to La Salle Brother Anthony Rogers, who is also an Aliran member, about the history of these mission schools – the De La Salle ones in particular.
