On 9 November, ad hoc prosecutor Gopal Sri Ram equated the operations of 1MDB to the running of a coffee shop.
The former Federal Court judge said this when objecting to the defence’s long-winded line of questioning of 10th prosecution witness Mohd Hazem Abdul Rahman at the Kuala Lumpur High Court.
Sri Ram also called the defence counsel Wan Aizuddin Wan Mohammed’s cross-examination of Hazem as “irrelevant”.
