Former 1MDB adviser Mohd Sidek Hassan told the court yesterday his monthly salary of RM29,125 as the then chief secretary to the government was insufficient and was the reason Najib Razak appointed him to the advisory board.
Sidek said he believed Najib, out of the goodness of his heart, had given him a role in 1MDB with a salary of RM30,000.
