The Department of Orang Asli Development (Jakoa) is expected to begin a study on amendments to the existing Aboriginal Peoples Act 1954 this year.

BFM speaks to Dr Yogeswaran Subramaniam, a lawyer and researcher focusing on Orang Asli land rights, about the significance of this move and what amendments are most urgently needed.
