Clare Rewcastle Brown – the journalist famous for bringing the 1MDB scandal to light – was recently sentenced to two years in jail for criminal defamation.
The Centre for Independent Journalism (CIJ) invites her, along with several other guests – Amira Aisya, Dr G Manimaran and Wathshlah Naidu – to talk about the case as they share their invaluable insight into what exposing corruption in Malaysia entails.
The discourse broadens to encompass the implications for reforms and media freedoms, exploring the necessary transformations within the Malaysian context.
