Several protests were held under the #Lawan movement over the past few weeks. In the lead up to the main protest, a few dozen activists were called in for questioning.

BFM speaks with Thomas Fann, chairperson of Bersih 2.0; Zaid Malek, coordinator of Lawyers for Liberty, and PJ Thum, managing director of New Naratif.

They talk about the importance of protests, the freedom to speak up and how protests have effected change in Southeast Asia.
