Poor internet connectivity, along with a lack of other basic amenities, especially in the interior areas of Sabah, is likely to be a major issue in the state election on 26 September.
That is largely down to a video (above) by a Sabah student, Veveonah M, who had to climb a tree to get a stronger internet connection so she could sit for her online exams recently. The video has gone viral with close to 800,000 views.
“I stayed 24 hours on tree which mean I sleep on tree. I almost get bitten by hornet,” Veveonah said. “So many things happen, in just a day. Watch the video, and see whether I succeed the challenge or not.”
Amazing what a simple video – and oodles of determination and creativity – can do!
