At the San Sebastian Film Festival, Oscar winning actor Jennifer Lawrence addressed the war on Gaza, saying “what’s happening is no less than a genocide”.
She voiced deep concern for her children and future generations, warning that political dishonesty, lack of empathy, and the erosion of integrity in US politics are being normalised for young people.
Lawrence urged the public to direct their anger toward elected officials rather than artists speaking out, calling on people to hold political leaders responsible and use the power of their vote to demand change.
