A new survey by Cent-GPS and Awam has highlighted that 50% of women aged 18 to 30 have directly experienced a form of sexual harrassment.
Joining BFM to explore the issue are Jernell Tan, information and communications officer at the All Women’s Action Society (Awam); Emellia Shariff, managing partner of Speak Up Malaysia; and Ding Jo-Ann from the Centre for Independent Journalism.
First, BFM looks into the results of this survey and what they mean. The discussion then moves to the significance of having more training and awareness in schools and at the workplace. Lastly, it focuses on the long-awaited Sexual Harassment Bill.
